NPT has published a report on the developments in the broadband market, demonstrating a difference in the subscribers’ usage of the various types of broadband.
The report shows that broadband subscriptions that are independent of broadband access (such as Telio) have significantly more active users and higher revenue per user than broadband subscriptions delivered over xDSL, fibre and cable (access-based subscriptions where broadband and broadband subscriptions are delivered by the same provider).
The figures for revenue per minute, which is an alternative way to follow the prices, show that broadband is less expensive than PSTN/ISDN. The differences are smaller in the corporate market compared to the private market.
